LOVE VOWS IN MOVIES
Marriage vows are binding promises each partner in a couple makes to the other during a wedding ceremony.
We want to inspire you in this post to write your binding promises, or your proposal, or a letter, or just a note to your loved one. We want to do so using cinema magic love moments.
If you search for love in movies, love stories, love letters, love scenes and so forth, it is overwhelming how many movies and scenes you will find! Love is a marvelous topic that makes us dream, cry and laugh, thus, widely used in movies (used in any art form, really). As mentioned, there are so many love moments filmed that we have selected only four examples for now. Converting this post in a category by itself in Your Lovely Assistant, that is to say, that this post will be “to be continued…”
Before we start with the examples, we recommend, in case you are not writing your own vows, to write a letter to your beloved. Your wedding planner can hand this letter or note to your loved one before you see each other at the ceremony. You can also write some words or fragments of poems in the hankerchive that your fiancé is going to wear in his suite pocket while getting married, for example.
Here is the first inspiration material:
At The best of you we are in love with the vow exchange in the movie The Vow, with such a name, it had to be, doesn’t it? It also had to be the first inspiration to this Vow themed post!
We love the book Pride and Prejudice. We do think they did a great job on the adaptation of Joe Wright’s movie.
Here is the beautiful love declaration:
The Notebook has to be included in the first post, of course! A beautiful love story. We have chosen a note that Noah writes to Allie in the movie.
“My Dearest Allie (…) remember how we spent a summer beneath the trees, learning from each other and growing in love. The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. And that’s what you’ve given me. That’s what I’d hoped to give to you forever. I love you. I’ll be seeing you. Noah.”
The last great declaration of love for today is of an old movie that it is already a classic love movie!
“…and I love that you are the last person that I want to talk to before I went to sleep at night, and it is not because I am lonely, and it is not because it is new years eve. I came here tonight, because when you realize that you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want your rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”
Did you guess which movie it is?
As promised, we will continue to bring you a summary on the best love vows, love scenes, weddings…ever filmed!
We will be very happy to hear in the comments wich movies do inspire you to write a love letter!
